The WindFloat Atlantic project recently celebrated five years of operation, reinforcing the importance of maintaining an open and dynamic relationship with the local community.
Last week, the WindFloat Atlantic team took part in APDL’s Open Day in Viana do Castelo — marking the third consecutive year of participation, with OW, the project’s main shareholder, as the official sponsor.
Throughout the day, local residents visited the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) base, where they joined guided tours led by the technical team. The experience also featured a 3D model presentation, helping to explain some of the technical aspects of the WFA project.
In the afternoon, the team joined a running event organised by APDL, which also included a route through the port facilities — a fun and different way to explore the site from another perspective.
